Portalis was founded by South African university students who lived the application process — the confusion, the deadlines, the paperwork. We're building the gateway we wished we had.

The story
When we were applying to university, the process felt like a maze: APS calculations, CAO portals, faculty-specific requirements, missing documents, and deadlines that didn't align. Many of our friends gave up — not because they couldn't get in, but because the process defeated them.
Portalis exists to change that. We combine straightforward tools (APS calculator, course matching, brochures) with real human support over WhatsApp, so that no learner has to navigate this alone.
